Tick tock tick tock
Slow and tedious- almost as if it was reluctant to move even a fraction of an inch. The two hands took their time to move around, ignoring the person that was so blatantly watching them. They ignored the one who wished they could so hopelessly move any quicker, to speed up and distract them.
To make the day go by faster.
And yet, when one would only wish to savor a moment- to take their time to enjoy and relax- its almost as if those very same hands would race to see who would get to the end quicker.
An endless spiral of want and despair plaguing the one who made them to keep track. To make sure a watchful eye was kept on the sun in the sky. A curse and a blessing in most cases.
There was never one seen far from the other.
They knew that.
So why would they complain?
Why would they complain when the two hands moved too slow, or when they moved too quick? When they warned them of such necessities they needed to get done.
When Fate liked to mess with them- with luck and misfortune. With how the day had went and ended? With all the troubles and woes they seem to find themselves in. Some never get out, some badly scared, and some barely scathed.
It was hardly Time’s fault.
It wasn’t fair for those two hands stuck in the clock of an endless spiral.
Though no one noticed them, no one exactly even cared for the two trapped in glass. Forever bound to circle their way through time.
For once they froze, spare parts for the new clock were all that was left in mind.
