Golden Crown

2018 (9th Grade Enlgish)

Nothing gold can stay
Even in the darkest moments
Gold can fade away
Through laughs and smiles
Pain and tears
I’ve had the golden crown
And now I’ve fallen down
How can I remember
The happy times
When the voices hurt me so
That I forget my surroundings
And I drop my golden crown down the river below
Where it swims further and further 
How can I move
When my life falls apart with a smile on my face
I stay in the valley where I’ve lost my way
I can hardly believe my eyes
When a light comes into my life
It guilds me up the mountain to the very peak
Nothing gold can stay
Yet who needs gold when I’ve found my way
