Evergreen

2018 (8th Grade English)
So tall she could almost touch the clouds
Holding on strong through the hardships
As she moved to an unknown place
One filled with Cherry Blossoms

Through the days they mocked and laughed
They pushed her down with looks of disgust
For she was an Evergreen
Her beauty had paled in relation

Yet when the strong winds had hit
All the beauty had fallen and crumbled to dust
All but her were stripped of their masks
For she had nothing to hid

She stood as tall as she could
For once proud of her roots.
